I also fired with .50 MG, Match (Hand Load) ammo. The legendary deathclaw will have 66 life after 1 sneak attack crit. So only way to 1 shot it with anti-material rifle is to lower the game difficulty.. to something else than very hard. However : I managed to do it with energy weapons, with the pew pew unique laser pistol, loaded with max charge energy cells. Worth of mentioning thou, I had Lily, used spycho - had lord death rank 3 + abominable rank 3.. and barelly 1 shotted it. Now after playing with guns build, I must say.. action point monster like this build, I can stay in VATS forever. 135 AP, and extremely high AP regen combined with grimm reapers perk, I just enter VATS kill 3-5 enemys & re-enter with almost same AP I started with. Still guns and energy weapons lack damage a bit. Unarmed is the king of damage, hands down. Between guns and energy weapons, energy weapons are more effective. Guns that I sometimes use : Gobi campaign scout rifle, Dinner bell & Lucky - For serious killing thou : YCS186, Q-35 matter modulator, pew pew. With max charge ammo. (AER14 Prototype is also OK option, with 4% more base crit than plasma weapons.) Consider this : you will ...
